Honeywell Technology Wins Top Honor at

For over 20 years, Peter Zeller of Charlotte, NC has served in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve. Peter Zeller joined Charlotte, NC-based Honeywell International, Inc., in 2005, a company that has advanced technology across sectors.

In May 2021, Honeywell International announced that its CT40 XP Healthcare (HC) mobile computer won Best Clinical Administration Hardware Device at the fifth annual Medtech Breakthrough Awards ceremony. This ceremony recognized the best technologies, companies, and products in the global health and technology sectors this year.

The mobile computer is an all-purpose technology designed for frontline workers. This technology allows for a simple and error-proof way to access and keep patient data secure. The computer includes Honeywell’s 2D imager that can quickly and accurately scan 1D and 2D barcodes and the high-resolution 13-megapixel color camera, which allows for the documentation on electronic health records or digital patient charts.

The mobile computer is certified for the highest level of data security of its type to protect patient information. The computer can also be used with Cerner’s CareAware Connect, Lawson’s SCM suite and Epic’s Rover to view patient medical history, treatment plans, medications, and other pieces of information.
