TH-73A, TH-57s Out of Navy Service

A resident of Charlotte, NC, Peter Zeller began his career with Honeywell International, also based in Charlotte, NC, in 2005. Concurrent with his business career, Peter Zeller serves as an officer in the United States Navy Reserve.

In June 2021, the US Navy announced the arrival of its new helicopter, the TH-73A. The aircraft will be critical in training rotary-wing and tilt-rotor aviators for the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The technology integrated into the Advanced Helicopter Training System allows for an easier transition from training aircraft to fleet aircraft and focuses more on high-end war-fighting development and training.

With deliveries of the TH-73A continuing into 2024, the Navy will own 130 of this model. The helicopters will replace the TH-57 Sea Ranger, with the expectation that the Sea Ranger will be phased out by 2025. When the TH-73As arrive, they are already certified through the Federal Aviation Administration and ready for action.
